Upper Limb Pain

Can chiropractors help with my shoulder, elbow and wrist or hands conditions?

Yes, in fact, chiropractors receive extensive training in diagnosing and treating upper limb problems including frozen shoulder, rotator cuff injuries, tennis/golfers elbow and carpal tunnel. Also, its important to note that some shoulder or arm pain is referred from the neck.

We can sit down with you to investigate your symptoms, examine your upper limb and devise a treatment plan to start your recovery.

Neck & Back pain

Do you suffer from pain and tightness in your neck or back?

Many underlying spinal problems can cause recurring muscle stiffness and pain, which result from a variety of causes including disc bulges (herniation), an arthritic/degenerative spine, stenosis, trauma and mechanical dysfunction (posture and modern lifestyle).

We utilise a number of therapeutic techniques to treat spinal problems which includes traction, soft tissue techniques, gentle manipulation and specific rehabilitative exercise focusing on core stability.

Initial Consultation & Assessment

We will review your health history and complete a physical examination of your spine or extremities and surrounding muscles using gentle palpation. In most cases, we will complete orthopaedic and neurological testing at this stage.

If necessary, we will refer you for x-rays which are bulk-billed through Medicare and available locally.

Following our initial consultation we will discuss our findings and advise you if we can help. If so, we can work together to establish a treatment plan to improve your health.

Headaches

Do you know that the cause of some headaches arise from the upper neck and the pain can extend as far as the forehead?

Often these headaches are associated with neck stiffness and are called cervicogenic/tension headaches.

There are many different types of headaches. A significant majority of headaches are caused by tension in the muscles and joints in the neck, which respond well to chiropractic care.

Please note, some headache signs and symptoms will need to be referred to your GP.

Rehabilitation Exercises

An important part of your recovery to better health is your rehabilitation. Strengthening your spine through rehabilitation exercises will empower you to take control of your pain.

We work with you to design an exercise program to enhance your strength (core stability), flexibility and balance to improve your health and enhance your lifestyle.
